The International DrumTime competition was a great experience for me. This percussion event gives the chance to a large range of young musicians to explore the percussion repertoire, to push their limits and express themselves on stage, to meet another passionated people, to talk and share ideas via music. It is a place to exchange, smile, listen, try and definitely win for the personal artistic development, no matter the results.

When I was asked to become a member of the jury for the percussion competition in Saint Petersburg, I had no idea what to expect. Even if there is no great distance between Stockholm and St. Petersburg, there is surprisingly little cultural exchange between the two cities. My encounter with the young Russian musicians was nothing short of stunning.
